This article explores a developmental approach to English language teaching that integrates cognitive and communicative principles across primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of education. The study aims to identify effective pedagogical strategies that align with learners’ cognitive development while fostering communicative competence. Using a mixed-method approach, the research analyzes classroom practices, learner outcomes, and teacher perspectives. The results indicate that a stage-sensitive integration of cognitive and communicative methodologies significantly enhances language acquisition, learner autonomy, and communicative proficiency. The study concludes with methodological recommendations for implementing a continuous and developmentally appropriate language teaching framework.
