Abstract
This article analyzes the theoretical foundations of integrating information and communication technologies (ICT) into English language teaching. It outlines the historical development of ICT, highlights constructivism, communicative language teaching, and blended learning as key frameworks, and considers the Uzbek context of educational modernization. The study concludes that ICT enhances learner autonomy and communication while requiring teacher training and institutional support.
