Abstract
Language is a constantly evolving system that reflects the dynamic nature of human society, and in the contemporary digital era, lexical and semantic changes have accelerated significantly due to technological advancements, globalization, and the widespread use of digital communication platforms. This article examines the major forms of linguistic transformation, including neologisms, abbreviations, slang, and hashtag language, as essential components of modern English evolution, while also exploring how these phenomena influence communication patterns, reshape meanings, and contribute to the development of new linguistic norms. The study highlights how neologisms emerge as a response to innovation, how abbreviations reflect the need for efficiency, how slang expresses identity and creativity, and how hashtag language represents a new form of digital discourse, ultimately demonstrating that language is not static but continuously adapting to social and technological change.
