Abstract

Pronunciation is very important for communication and understanding languages. Even though it is crucial teaching pronunciation has not gotten attention in foreign language classes. This article looks at the ideas of pronunciation pedagogy including major language, cognitive and communication approaches. It also talks about what known scholars have contributed and discusses the practical implications of teaching pronunciation in modern language education.
