Abstract

Anthroponyms, or personal names, play a significant role in literary discourse, extending beyond mere identification to convey pragmatic and connotative meanings. This article examines how authors use anthroponyms to express cultural, social, and psychological nuances. By analyzing selected literary works, the study highlights how names function as pragmatic tools that shape readers’ interpretations and contribute to characterization. The findings demonstrate that anthroponyms carry implicit meanings influenced by context, cultural background, and authorial intention.
