Modern Approaches To Foreign Language Teaching
Аннотация
The teaching of foreign languages has undergone significant transformation in recent decades, moving away from rigid, grammar-focused instruction toward more dynamic and learner-centered approaches. Modern methodologies emphasize communication, cultural awareness, and the integration of technology to create authentic learning environments. This article examines contemporary strategies such as task-based learning, blended and online instruction, project-based activities, and the use of digital tools to enhance student engagement. Drawing on both global perspectives and recent developments in Uzbekistan’s educational reforms, the paper highlights how these approaches foster motivation, improve linguistic competence, and prepare learners for participation in a multilingual world. The findings suggest that modern foreign language teaching is most effective when it balances theoretical frameworks with practical classroom applications, ensuring that students develop not only language proficiency but also critical thinking and intercultural skills.
