Аннотация

This research provides a comprehensive analysis of the historical progression of American English, spanning from the early seventeenth-century colonial settlements to its contemporary global dominance. Utilizing the IMRAD framework, the study examines the mechanisms of linguistic divergence, the impact of cross-cultural lexical assimilation, and the deliberate standardization efforts led by figures such as Noah Webster. The findings indicate that American English is not merely a derivative of British English but a distinct system shaped by geographic isolation, socio-political independence, and the preservation of specific archaic phonetic features.
