Motivation plays a central role in the success of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learning. This article explores the psychological, social, and pedagogical factors that influence learners’ motivation in the classroom. It highlights the importance of intrinsic and extrinsic motivators, such as personal interest, teacher encouragement, classroom environment, and cultural relevance. The study emphasizes how motivational strategies—ranging from interactive activities and goal-setting to positive feedback and collaborative learning—can enhance student engagement and achievement. By analyzing both theoretical perspectives and practical approaches, the article demonstrates that fostering motivation is essential for developing communicative competence and sustaining long-term language learning.
