This article examines the significance of language in the process of globalization, focusing on its role in communication, cultural exchange, economic development, and identity formation. The study is based on qualitative methods, particularly analysis and synthesis of various scholarly sources related to globalization and language. The findings reveal that language serves as a key instrument in facilitating global interaction and the spread of ideas, while also contributing to economic growth and technological advancement. At the same time, the research highlights the negative consequences of globalization, such as the dominance of global languages and the threat to linguistic diversity and cultural identity. The article concludes that language plays a dual role in globalization, acting both as a means of connection and as a challenge for preserving linguistic and cultural diversity.
