In contemporary English language education, the shift from teacher-centered instruction to learner-centered approaches has emphasized the importance of interactive teaching methods. This article explores the role of interactive methodologies in enhancing English language acquisition, particularly focusing on speaking and communicative competence. Drawing on theoretical perspectives from scholars such as Lev Vygotsky, Jerome Bruner, Stephen Krashen, and Jack C. Richards, the study analyzes how interaction fosters language development through social engagement and meaningful communication. The article follows the academic appropriate structure to examine the effectiveness of interactive strategies such as pair work, group discussions, role-play, and technology-enhanced learning. The findings demonstrate that interactive methods significantly improve learners’ fluency, confidence, and critical thinking skills. Moreover, these approaches create a dynamic classroom environment that supports real-life language use and learner autonomy.
