Abstract

This study is about the role of project-based learning (PBL) in teaching English as a foreign language. In modern education, student-centered methods are replacing traditional teacher-centered approaches, by that active learning is promoting day-by-day. Project-based learning is one of the most effective approaches, as it encourages learners to complete meaningful tasks such as research, presentations, and creative projects. The paper highlights how PBL enhances students’ critical thinking, creativity, and independence. It also analyzes the advantages and challenges of both individual and group work within PBL. The findings suggest that PBL not only improves learners’ communicative competence but also increases motivation and engagement in the learning process. Therefore, integrating project-based learning into English language teaching can lead to more effective learning.
